An Act to amend title 38 of the United States Code in order to clarify the purposes for which the Administrator of Veterans' Affairs may release the names and/or addresses of present and former members of the Armed Forces and their dependents.

Summary

Sets forth the purposes for which the Administrator of the Veterans' Affairs may release the names and addresses of present and former personnel of the armed services and their dependents. Sets forth penalties for the release of such names and addresses by organizations and agencies, and their personnel, for any purpose other than those authorized under this Act. (Amends 38 U.S.C. 3301(9))
