Summary
Acreage Diversion Pilot Program Act of 1987 - Amends the Agricultural Act of 1949, effective for the 1987 and 1988 wheat crops, to repeal the requirement that if an acreage limitation program is in effect, producers must plant at least 50 percent of their permitted use acreage in order to receive deficiency payments. Requires the Secretary of Agriculture to submit to the appropriate congressional committees: (1) a preliminary report by July 1, 1987, concerning the changes made by this Act; and (2) a final report as part of the FY 1989 budget proposal.
