A bill to provide means for the acquisition and retention of title to certain lands by the village corporation organized pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act for the Natives of the village of Kake, Alaska, and for other purposes.

Summary

Provides that: (1) any Indian tribal entity that holds specified lands in Alaska in fee simple may freely alienate and convey such lands to others; (2) upon request, any Indian tribal entity can acquire such lands which are held in trust by the United States; and (3) the corporation organized for the Natives of the village of Kake, Alaska, may retain title to the surface estate in any such lands which are conveyed to it pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.
