Summary
Extends for five years, through September 30, 1983, the period during which the Commissioner of Education may make grants under specific sections of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, including providing financial assistance to local educational agencies for the education of children of low-income families. Extends for five years, through September 30, 1983, the period during which the Assistant Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare for Education, may make grants under the Emergency School Aid Act to provide financial assistance to aid local educational agencies to meet the special needs incident to eliminating minority group segregation and discrimination among students and faculty in elementary and secondary schools. Extends for five years, through September 30, 1983, the period during which the Commissioner of Education may make grants to provide financial assistance for school construction and other purposes to federally impacted school districts under Public Law 874, 81st Congress. Extends for five years, through September 30, 1983, the period during which the Commissioner of Education may make grants under: (1) the Indian Education Act, and (2) the Indian Elementary and Secondary School Assistance Act, (3) the Adult Education Act, (4) the Special Projects Act, and (5) the National Reading Improvement Act.
