Summary
Metlakatla Indian Community Enrollment Act of 1979 - Requires that Natives be disenrolled from the Alaska Native Roll established by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act if they: (1) are enrolled now or hereafter by the Metlakatla Indian Community; and (2) request such disenrollment. Requires that stock previously issued by any Regional or Village Corporation to such Natives be canceled without liability. Requires that no such disenrollment be construed as increasing or decreasing regional enrollments for purposes of land entitlement, land selection eligibility, or revenue sharing of any Native Village or group, or Village or Regional Corporation. Directs the Secretary of the Interior to assist the Metlakatla Indian Community in preparing and maintaining a current community roll. Stipulates that such roll shall be prima facie evidence of membership in such Community of any Native whose Alaska Native Roll enrollment is contested by the Enrollment Coordinator.
