Summary

Amends the Bankruptcy Amendments and Federal Judgeship Act of 1984 to repeal a certain annuity computation formula for bankruptcy judges who served in the district of Oregon or the central district of California until March 31, 1984. Defines a bankruptcy judge (for purposes of retirement benefit eligibility) as an individual who is serving in such capacity on March 31, 1984 (currently, July 10, 1984). Prescribes an annuity computation formula for bankruptcy judges which includes service as a referee in bankruptcy. States that this Act shall take effect on July 10, 1984, but that the definition of a bankruptcy judge with respect to retirement benefits shall take effect on March 31, 1984.
