Summary

Lechuguilla Cave Protection Act of 1993 - Withdraws the Dark Canyon Cave Protection Area in Eddy County, New Mexico, from all forms of appropriation under the public land and mining laws and from operation of the mineral and geothermal leasing laws. Prohibits the Secretary of the Interior from permitting a holder of any mineral lease affecting the Protection Area or certain adjacent public lands in New Mexico to drill or carry out other activities that could adversely affect Lechuguilla Cave or any other cave resources located within Carlsbad Caverns National Park or the Protection Area.
