Summary
Consumer Protection Telemarketing Act - Requires the Federal Trade Commission to prescribe rules prohibiting deceptive (including fraudulent) telemarketing activities and other abusive telemarketing activities. Sets forth provisions concerning actions by States and by private persons. Provides for the establishment of a clearinghouse for inquiries made to Federal agencies concerning telemarketing.
