Summary

Revises Federal law regarding pay of administrative law judges (ALJs) to set six rates of basic pay within level AL-3, which may not be less than 65 percent of the rate of basic pay for level IV of the Executive Schedule. Limits the rate of basic pay for AL-1 to the rate for level IV of such Schedule. Requires the basic pay rates for ALJs to be adjusted by an appropriate amount, as determined by the President, effective at the beginning of the first pay period commencing after General Schedule pay rates are adjusted.
