Summary

Increases from $500 to $50,000 the claim amount the Attorney General may settle in any one case arising from a claim for personal injury, death, or damage to, or loss of, privately owned property caused by any officer or employee of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or other law enforcement component of the Department of Justice acting within the scope of employment. Requires the Attorney General to report annually to the Congress on all such settlements.
