Summary
Crime Victims With Disabilities Awareness Act - Directs the Attorney General: (1) to request to the National Research Council that the National Academy of Sciences' Committee on Law and Justice, acting through the Council, enter into a contract with the Attorney General to develop a research agenda to increase public awareness of, and reduce the incidence of, crimes against individuals with developmental disabilities; (2) to submit a report describing such agenda to specified congressional committees within two years; (3) as part of each National Crime Victims Survey, to include statistics relating to the nature and characteristics of crime victims who are individuals with developmental disabilities; and (4) to study and submit to the Congress and to each State a report on means by which each State may establish and maintain a centralized computer database on the incidence of crimes against individuals with disabilities within the State. Authorizes appropriations.
