Summary

Griffith Project Prepayment and Conveyance Act - Directs the Secretary of the Interior, in consideration of the assumption by the Southern Nevada Water Authority from the United States of all liability for administration, operation, and maintenance of the Robert B. Griffith Water Project and subject to payment by the Authority of the net present value of the remaining repayment obligation, to convey such Project to the Authority. Allows the Authority to use and occupy, without charge, all public land on which such Project is situated or that is used for such Project's purposes. Requires the Secretary: (1) if the conveyance has not occurred by July 1, 2000, to report on its status to Congress; and (2) if the conveyance is completed by such date, to pay 50 percent of the cost of administrative action and environmental compliance for such conveyance.
