Summary

Expresses the sense of the Congress that: (1) the President should be commended for agreeing to provide temporary refuge to Fang Lizhi and Li Shuxian at the U.S. Embassy in Beijung and should continue to provide such refuge; and (2) the Government of the People's Republic of China should grant amnesty to those who were involved in the prodemocracy demonstrations in China, release all those being held for participation in such demonstrations, stay any further executions of such individuals, end martial law, and seek a national reconciliation.
