Resolves that Congress: (1) reaffirms its support for a comprehensive international response to the global HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria pandemics; (2) calls on the President, at the G-8 meeting from June 1-June 3, 2003, in Evian, France, to encourage the other G-8 members to pledge and contribute a substantial amount of new resources to the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria to complement the recent commitment of the United States; and (3) calls on the President to urge all G-8 members and the European Union to actively support and provide adequate funding for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
