Summary
Commends the Government of Cyprus and President Vassiliou for the assurances given and the cooperation extended to the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) and his representatives in efforts to reach agreement on the Cyprus problem. Urges the administration: (1) and all parties concerned with such problem, especially Turkey, to support the UN Secretary General and Security Council in the effort to achieve progress in the negotiations; and (2) to intensify its efforts in support of the Secretary General in his search for a negotiated solution.
