Calls upon the President to: (1) step up U.S. efforts for the release of Fang Lizhi and his family; (2) allow Dr. Fang to communicate with the world community from the U.S. embassy in Beijing, China; (3) request the Chinese Government to provide a list of all individuals arrested since June 19, 1989; and (4) seek the release of individuals detained for nonviolent offenses since such date.
