Summary
Commends: (1) the Government of Bangladesh and its Prime Minister for their demonstrated commitment to democracy, economic reform, and the principles of international peacekeeping under the auspices of the United Nations; and (2) such Government for its humanitarian efforts on behalf of the Rohinga refugees. Urges the United States to take all appropriate steps to improve ties with Bangladesh and its people and to encourage joint ventures between U.S. industry and Bangladesh industry which will help improve the standard of living of all Bangladesh citizens.
