Summary

Establishes in the House of Representatives a Special Committee on the Termination of the National Emergency to conduct a study and investigation with respect to the matter of terminating the national emergency proclaimed by the President on December 16, 1950, and announced in Presidential Proclamation Numbered 2914, dated the same date. Provides that the expenses of the committee shall not exceed $100,000. Provides that the committee shall report its findings, together with such recommendations for legislation as it deems advisable, to the House at the earliest practicable date, but not later than February 28, 1973. Provides that expenses of the committee shall be paid from the contingent fund of the House upon vouchers approved by the chairman of the committee.
