Summary
Directs the Secretary of State, to the extent not incompatible with his efforts to encourage Syria to negotiate a settlement to her differences with Israel, to investigate the allegations concerning the treatment of Jews by the Syrian Government. Requires the Secretary of State, no later than fifteen days following his return from his next diplomatic mission to Syria, to report to the Congress of the United States on the condition of the Jews living in Syria, the treatment they receive at the hands of the Syrian Government, and the efforts that the United States may make in their behalf to enable them to leave Syria for a nation of their choosing.
