Summary
Declares it to be the sense of the House of Representatives that (1) it most strongly condemns the attack on Israelic school children and all acts of terrorism; (2) the President of the United States and the Secretary of State are hereby requested to (a) bring to the attention of the governments in the Middle East the condemnation by the United States of this act of terrorism, (b) to call upon all governments to condemn this inhuman act against innocent children as well as all acts of terrorism, and (c) strongly urge the governments who harbor these groups and individuals to take appropriate action to prevent further acts of terrorism and violence; (3) the President should request the United States Ambassador to the United Nations to take all appropriate steps to bring before the Security Council a resolution condemning this brutal act of carnage against the children of Maalot; and (4) the United States must pursue a direct course of negotiation to bring about peace in the Middle East.
