Summary

Authorizes the Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs to conduct full and complete studies and investigations and to make inquiries within its jurisdiction, as set forth in the Rules of the House of Representatives, including: (1) water resources planning and research programs of the Department of the Interior; (2) national outdoor recreation plans and land use planning; (3) long-range domestic minerals and energy programs affecting mining interests generally and the mineral resources of the public lands; and (4) the environmental impact of laws and programs within its jurisdiction. Provides that the committee shall submit to the House, not later than January 2, 1975, a report of its activities during the 93d Congress.
