Summary

Amends Rule XI (Procedures of Committees of Unfinished Business) of the Rules of the House of Representatives to require a standing committee (including the Committee on Appropriations and its subcommittees) to broadcast in real time on the committee's official public website each meeting for the markup of a chairman's mark of a bill or resolution that is open to the public. Requires, for any such public committee or subcommittee markup, the text of the bill or resolution under consideration, and any offered amendments, to be publicly available on the committee's official website in a timely accessible manner using existing technology, at no cost, and in a searchable format by text.
