Summary

Plain English in Law Rule - Amends rule XXII of the Rules of the House of Representatives to require: (1) a section or other provision of a bill or joint resolution which amends a law to be in the form of a comparative print of the law proposed to be amended showing by black brackets and italics the omissions and the insertions proposed to be made in the law; and (2) an amendment to a section or other provision of a measure which is offered when a subcommittee or committee considers such legislation or when it is considered in the Committee of the Whole House to be in a similar form.
