Summary

Recognizes that Hispanics are an example of community and patriotism and have made rich contributions to this country. Endorses the efforts of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts to raise scholarships at the graduate school level for Hispanics interested in film, theater, television, and the music industry. Salutes actor Jimmy Smits for his leadership and commitment to bring excellence to the Hispanic community by his creation of the Foundation. Recognizes, and expresses support for any initiative that seeks to promote and protect, the contributions of Hispanics to this country.
