Summary

Amends rule XI of the Rules of the House of Representatives to delete the preference given to photographers from Associated Press Photos and United Press International Newspictures in the allocation of the number of still photographers permitted in a hearing or meeting room. Amends rule XXXIV of the Rules of the House of Representatives to delete the authorization of the Speaker to: (1) assign seats on the floor to Associated Press and United Press International reporters; and (2) admit to the floor representatives of the National Broadcasting Company, the Columbia Broadcasting System, the Mutual Broadcasting System, and the American Broadcasting Company. Makes technical and conforming amendments.
