Summary

Establishes the Select Committee to Investigate Abusive Law Enforcement Practices by the Federal Government. Makes it the function of the committee to investigate complaints by citizens with respect to intrusions into their privacy by Government agents, and in particular agents of the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service. Requires the committee to report the results of its investigation, including recommendations for administrative or legislative reform, to the House of Representatives by December 31, 1982.
