Summary
Expresses the sense of the House of Representatives that: (1) the recent confiscation of materials from the Beijing bureau of the Washington Post and interrogation of the bureau chief for the New York Times and other foreign correspondents is in violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; and (2) the President should urge the Chinese Government to allow greater press freedom to foreign and domestic journalists.
