Summary

Establishes a nonlegislative permanent Select Committee on Aging to be composed of fifteen Members of the House of Representatives. Authorizes the committee to: (1) conduct a study and review of all matters pertaining to problems of older Americans, including income maintenance, housing, health and employment; (2) study the use of all practicable means of encouraging the development of programs to assist the older American in taking a full part in national life and to encourage the utilization of the knowledge, skills, special apptitudes, and abilities of older Americans; (3) develop policies that would encourage the cordination of both governmental and private programs designed to deal with problems of aging; and (4) review any recommendations made by the President or by the White House Conference on Aging relating to programs or policies affecting older Americans.
