Summary

Provides that it is the sense of Congress that: (1) the International Olympic Committee should not award the honor of hosting the 1980 Olympic competition to the Soviet Union; (2) should the Soviet Union become host of the 1980 Olympic competition, that athletes representing the United States should not participate in the competition and that the United States Government should in no way support the competition or the International Olympic Committee; and (3) the United States not entertain participation in international amateur athletic events in a nation that has demonstrated the use of the events and the Olympians for national political purposes and to provoke international incidents.
