Urges the United Nations (UN) and the United States: (1) to work with international organizations and foreign governments to identify qualified women candidates for UN Secretary General; and (2) in accordance with the platform for action of the UN's Fourth World Conference on Women, to support the nomination and appointment of qualified women to senior positions in the UN, the specialized agencies, and other UN organizations and the nomination and election of qualified women for UN Secretary General.
