Summary
Makes it the sense of the Congress that the President should request the Government of Chile to undertake the following: (1) to ensure protection of human rights of all individuals, Chilean and foreign, as provided in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention and Protocol relating to the status of refugees and other relevant international legal instruments guaranteeing the granting of asylum, safe conduct and humane treatment of prisoners as provided in the Geneva Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prisoners, and the Declaration of Territorial Asylum; and (2) to publish as soon as possible the names of those being held in custody and the charges against them.
