Summary

Expresses condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the victims of the crash of American Airlines Flight 587 on November 12, 2001. Expresses sympathies to: (1) the people of the Dominican Republic and to the Dominican community in New York City who have been so tragically affected by the loss of loved ones aboard that flight; and (2) the people of the Rockaway community who have suffered immense personal loss as a combined result of the crash on November 12, 2001, and the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Commends the heroic actions of the rescue workers, volunteers, and State and local officials of New York City who responded to these tragic events with courage, determination, and skill.
