Summary

Establishes in the Senate the Select Committee on Missing in Action. States that the select committee shall consist of fifteen members to be appointed by the President of the Senate. Provides that it shall be the function and duty of the select committee to investigate all matters relating to members of the Armed Forces of the United States who are in a missing status and members known to be dead but whose bodies have not been recovered. Authorizes the select committee to make expenditures from the contingent fund of the Senate, to hold hearings and issue subpenas and to procure the services of individual consultants. Requires the select committee to report its findings with recommendations for legislation to the Senate, not later than May 1, 1976. States that the select committee's authority shall expire thirty days after the filing of the report. Directs that expenses of the select committee shall be paid from the contingent fund of the Senate upon vouchers approved by the chairman.
