United States of America, et al., filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, or in any similar lawsuit filed by former Judge Hastings to challenge his impeachment trial, conviction, or removal from office. Authorizes the Senate Legal Counsel to appear as amicus curiae in the name of the Senate in Alcee L. Hastings v. United States of America, filed in the United States Claims Court, in the case filed in the District Court, or in any similar lawsuit filed by the former Judge, in order to defend the Senate's sole constitutional power to try impeachments.
