Summary

Sets the rate of fees for witnesses summoned to appear before the Senate or any of its committees at an amount not to exceed $50 for each full day spent in traveling to and from the place of examination and for each full day in attendance. Entitles such witness to reimbursement of transportation expenses, not to exceed 35 cents a mile if such distance is not more than 600 miles or 20 cents a mile if the distance is more than 600 miles.
