Summary
Congratulates the people and Government of Kazakhstan on the tenth anniversary of its independence. Declares that the Senate: (1) welcomes the partnership between such Government and U.S. companies in developing its natural resources in an environmentally sustainable manner; (2) applauds the cooperation between such Government and the United States on national security matters, including the war against terrorism; (3) encourages such Government to continue to make progress toward institutionalizing democracy, respecting human rights, reducing corruption, and implementing broad-based market reforms; and (4) looks forward to further enhancing the economic, political, and national security cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
