This resolution congratulates Bosnia and Herzegovina on the 31 st anniversary of its declaration of independence. The resolution also encourages Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue pursuing membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the European Union and acknowledges the European Union's decision to grant candidacy status to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
