Summary
Establishes the Senate Bipartisan Consultative Group (comprised of Senate Majority and Minority Leaders, the chairmen and ranking members of specified committees, and other Members designated by such Leaders) to facilitate deliberations by the Senate and Executive-Legislative consultations on decisions regarding Operation Desert Shield and the Persian Gulf crisis, particularly any decision to use force against Iraq or Iraqi-controlled Kuwait. Calls for the President to meet with such Group weekly regarding: (1) the status of U.S. armed forces deployed in or around the Arabian Peninsula; and (2) the development of U.S. objectives in bringing an end to the Persian Gulf crisis.
