Summary

Declares that, in the case of death or resignation of a Senator, the employees in such Senator's office shall be continued on the Senate payroll for a period not to exceed 60 days, or such greater time as established by the Committee on Rules and Administration. Authorizes the Secretary of the Senate, in the case of a Senator's death, to certify certain office expenses. Requires the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate to make funeral arrangements as necessary. Repeals specified resolutions pertaining to continuation of employees after the death or resignation of a Senator. Makes certain provisions of this resolution effective after conforming amendments are made to specified Legislative Branch Appropriation Acts.
