Summary

Original text of the question(s):

What position did Germany represent in the Working Party on Agricultural Products of September 2, 2025 with regard to naming bans for plant-based meat alternatives (to include a part on names for meat and meat products in Annex VII) as part of the EU Commission's proposal for changes to the Common Market Organization (CMO) (Annex 1 to COM(2025) 553), and how does this position of the Federal Government relate to its own goals in the high-tech agenda Germany's aim to use and promote biotechnological potential for the production of health-promoting and sustainable foods and alternative proteins and to develop them as a sustainable pillar of our diet (Goal 3, S. 21) as well as the plan in the coalition agreement between the CDU, CSU and SPD to promote the market launch of sustainable alternative proteins (S. 43)?
