Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette võimaldada sünniga Eesti kodakondsuse omandanud Eesti kodanikel säilitada Eesti kodakondsus ka juhul, kui neil on samal ajal teatud teise riigi kodakondsus. Samuti luuakse võimalus taastada Eesti kodakondsus sünnijärgsel Eesti kodanikul, kes on Eesti kodakondsuse varem kaotanud mõne muu riigi kodakondsuse tõttu või sellest loobunud ning kelle teine kodakondsus kuulub eelnõuga lubatud riikide hulka. Seletuskirjas märgitakse, et Eesti rahvusriigi säilimise huvides on oluline siduda ka hilisematel aastatel teistesse riikidesse elama läinud Eesti kodanikud Eestiga.
