Summary
Muudatuste eesmärgiks on tõhustada kuriteos kannatanute, eelkõige alaealisena seksuaalvägivalla ohvriks langenud inimeste õiguste kaitset ja aidata vägivallaohvritel kiiremini vajalikku abi saada. Pikendatakse alaealiste vastu toime pandud seksuaalkuritegude aegumistähtaegu, et kuritegu ei aeguks enne, kui kannatanu on valmis juhtunust rääkima ja õiguskaitseasutuse poole pöörduma. Lisaks viiakse kuritegude pikendatud aegumistähtaegadega kooskõlla ka kannatanu õigus nõuda toimepanijalt nende kuritegudega põhjustatud kahju hüvitamist.
