Summary
Eelnõuga seatakse keskmisest viljakamate muldadega põllumajandusmaade kaitseks kitsendused, millega kohaliku omavalitsuse üksus peab üld- või detailplaneeringu koostamisel arvestama, et tagada nende muldade säilimine ja võimalus tagada riigi toiduga varustatus pikemas perspektiivis. Väärtusliku põllumajandusmaa kaitsemehhanismide rakendumise kaudu on eeldatavasti pikemas perspektiivis kogu riigi territooriumil ühtlaselt tagatud põllumajanduslik maakasutus ja maaelu jätkusuutlikkus ning selle kaudu toidu varustuskindlus.
