Summary
Prokuratuuriseaduse ja kohtute seaduse muutmise seaduse eelnõu sisuks on prokuröride teenistusliku järelevalve korra muutmine, eesmärgiga tõhustada prokuröride tegevust oma ülesannete täitmisel ning välistada kriminaalmenetluse kasutamist poliitilistel eesmärkidel. Muudatus parandab ja kiirendab ka ühtlasi kriminaalmenetluse läbiviimist, sest Kriminaalmenetlus ei tohi olla menetlusaluse isiku jaoks koormav ja peab toimuma mõistliku aja jooksul. Välistada tuleb olukord, kus kriminaalmenetlus venib aastate pikkuseks ning sisuliselt muutub oma olemuselt karistuseks.
