Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette võimaldada mitmikkodakondsust Eesti kodanikele, kes on omandanud Eesti kodakondsuse sünniga. Eelnõuga nähakse ette ka Eesti kodakondsuse taastamise võimalus isikutele, kes omandasid Eesti kodakondsuse enne 1992. aasta 26. veebruari, kuid keda sunniti sellest loobuma või loeti Eesti kodakondsuse kaotanuks või sellest loobunuks. Eelnõuga täiendatakse kehtivat seadust kodakondsuse äravõtmise uute alustega. Uute kodakondsuse äravõtmise alustena tuuakse seadusesse karistusseadustikus sätestatud riigireetmise ja terrorikuriteo sooritamise eest süüdimõistva kohtuotsuse jõustumine.
