Summary

Eelnõuga muudetakse soolise võrdõiguslikkuse seadust. Muudatuse kohaselt jäetakse seadusest välja tekstiosa „võimaluse korral”, et tagada riigi ja kohaliku omavalitsuse esinduskogudes mõlema soo esindatus edaspidi selgelt ja üheselt kohustuslikuna. Seletuskirjas märgitakse, et muudatusega muutub nõue selgemaks ja siduvamaks ning seda ei saa tõlgendada vabatahtliku ega tingimuslikuna. Eesmärk on rõhutada, et nimetatud kohustust tuleb täita järjepidevalt ja süsteemselt, mitte üksnes siis, kui see on mugav või lihtne.
