Summary

By amending the law, the legal framework regulating the possession and handling of weapons will be updated. The purpose of the bill is to strengthen national defense preparedness, improve society's defense capacity and ensure public and internal security. The amendments bring the Weapons Act into full compliance with the EU Firearms Directive and clarify the definitions of weapons and ammunition.
