Summary
Eelnõuga muudetakse meresõiduohutuse seaduse veeteetasude regulatsiooni. Muudatustega kehtestatakse veeteetasu soodustused laevade keskkonnanäitajate alusel, et soodustada keskkonnasõbralike laevade kasutamist ja investeeringuid rohetehnoloogiatesse. Merematkelaevade ühikuhinda ja ühe laevakülastuse eest makstava veeteetasu ülempiiri tõstetakse, et ühtlustada need teiste laevatüüpide tasumääradega. Lisaks kaotatakse erand, mille kohaselt oli ankrualal punkerdamine veeteetasu maksmisest vabastatud. Kuna tegemist võib olla keskkonnaohtliku tegevusega, ei ole erandi säilitamine põhjendatud. Samas jääb veeteetasust vabastus kehtima alternatiiv- ja taastuvkütuste punkerdamisel.
