Broughan asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if he is satisfied that the impact of recent increases in daily global oil production is being passed on to consumers in view of the fact that when oil production decreases on the global market, Irish consumers immediately see significant increases in the price of petrol and diesel; if he has any plans to examine the operation of the liquid fuels sector in conjunction with the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation in relation to this process; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
