That this House commends North Wales Police on the creation of the first dedicated Police Mountain Rescue Support Team in England and Wales; recognises the unique challenges posed by the mountainous and rural landscapes of North Wales, which attract millions of visitors each year while also presenting demanding conditions for emergency responders; notes that the new team will work alongside established mountain rescue organisations and other emergency service partners to support incidents involving vulnerable individuals and situations where there is a risk of harm in difficult-to-access terrain; further notes that the North Wales Police Support Team comprises around 30 specially trained officers deployed across different shifts, ensuring operational coverage and availability when required; praises the officers who have volunteered to undertake this specialist role in addition to their existing duties; acknowledges the importance of effective partnership working in safeguarding residents and visitors alike; welcomes this innovative approach to enhancing public safety and emergency response capabilities; and congratulates Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman and all involved in developing a model that could provide a template for policing and rescue services across the United Kingdom.

That this House congratulates Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon on being named UK Rugby Kitchen of the Year, an outstanding achievement in recognition of the dedication and community spirit demonstrated by the club's volunteers; pays particular tribute to Mr Keith Parry, who has led the club's kitchen for many years and has volunteered at the club for more than five decades; recognises the invaluable contribution of fellow volunteers, parents, supporters and all those who give their time to ensure that players and visitors are welcomed and fed each week; notes that the kitchen serves hundreds of young people and supporters every weekend, providing meals for youth teams and girls' rugby participants; further notes that the award was judged by a distinguished panel including renowned chefs and rugby figures and was ultimately selected by celebrated chef and former rugby player Pierre Koffmann; commends the club's commitment to fostering participation, inclusion and community wellbeing through sport; acknowledges the vital role played by volunteers in sustaining grassroots rugby across Wales; and wishes Clwb Rygbi Caernarfon continued success in the years ahead.

That this House congratulates award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and zoologist, Sue Flood from Y Bala on being shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award in the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 2024; notes that Sue’s image of a Weddell seal resting on an ice floe in Antarctica is one of only twenty-five images chosen from an international entry of 60,000; further notes that Sue is the only UK woman finalist and the only finalist from Wales; recognises that Sue’s travels have taken her to hundreds of destinations across the globe, including the North and South Poles, that she spent eleven years at the BBC’s Natural History Unit, working on acclaimed series such as the Blue Planet and Planet Earth with Sir David Attenborough; acknowledges that Sue has won several prestigious awards including being awarded a Royal Photographic Society silver medal; and wishes Sue the very best in the competition.
